Easter Celebration

I love Easter time. It seems as if the world is renewing itself with life. It makes us all think about how important the Savior and his sacrifice for each of us truly is. I love Him. He is the most important person in my life. I love conference. When I try to think of my favorite talk, it is very difficult because each one meant so much to me. Like spring, conference renews my dedication and love for our Savior.

Since I was a little girl my family always went out on Easter Saturday to West Canyon (over by Cedar Fort) to have a picnic. It was so much fun. We would play hide-n-seek, have a shooting contest and rolled our colored eggs down a nearby hill. The farthest egg won a prize (usually a candy bar). It was steep competition. We continue this tradition to this day. But this year it was too snowy and cold. So we improvised. We had a BBQ and an Easter Egg hunt in the livingroom. The parents brought 10 plastic eggs filled with candy for each of their children. Two of the eggs had an X on the egg. If you got an X, you opened the egg to see which Aunt you go to for a special prize. Along with watching conference, the cows delivered (pictures of those in a few days) and the priesthood meeting, we were all busy and happy. Here are some pictures.

Brion, Nick and Brett chowing down. This is Katie-my-lady (thats what I call her)
The kids checking out their goodies.
I couldn't resist this picture. Easton dressed himself....notice the socks. Gotta love that kid!
I don't know how to flip the next picture, but this is Allie. Notice her sweet smile.
Clay always has a ball in his hand. Notice the nose....he did a face plant outside of their house, poor kid.
Lexie holding her Easter bag and her blankie. She is total girl!
Another picture of the group. Gotta love that Clay :)
Anyway, it was really a fun Easter, though I really missed rolling our colored eggs down a rocky hill. We hope that all of you had a wonderful Easter. Love to all---
