Hi--This is Nicks Chick (Miriam in case anyone is guessing). I have wanted to set up a blog since Kim and Adrien set up their blogs. I have wondered, where does the word blog come from? It sounds like something that came out of a garbage can, but who am I to question technology!!
Anyway, I thought that I would post some interested pictures of our remodeling of our kitchen. We have lived in this house for 19 years next month. Every room in the house has been done except the kitchen and our bedroom (you know kids always come first right?) Now that our wonderful dishwasher, lawn mower, snow shoveler and gardner is on a mission, we decided it was time to remodel the kitchen. Can you imagine not having a dishwasher in this day and time? Some might ask, why haven't you put in a dishwasher before? Well, I'll enlighten you---When this house was built in 1938 the builders put the best of everything into it. The kitchen cabinets were made on the spot...the base cabinets being too narrow to hold a dishwasher. So that is it, now we all know and can go on with life.
I must say at this time how much I appreciate Nick. He is so kind and loving to me and to all our children and grandchildren. We are really and truly soul mates, best friends and eternal mates. Like Adrien said on her blog about Jarom...I am truly in love with Nick. So that is why this blog is called "Nicks Chick". I think I will get a license plate with that on it. What do you think?
Take care and I will update the remodeling job as we go along. After the remodeling job, I am going to have really a lot of fun talking on my blog about all the funny things our children did when they were young, and what our grandchildren are like. So stay tuned everybody!!!!
I grew up in Lehi where I climbed trees, ate apricots and peaches right off the trees and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my youth. I couldn't have asked for better parents and siblings. Then the best part of my life started in 1976 when I married my sweetheart, Nick, in the Provo Temple. I have been blissfully happy since. We have five children, Jarom who married Adrien and they have three girls, Emmie, Allie and Kate. Brion is our second son and he married Amie. They have two little boys, Logan and Landon and a sweet little girl Lexie Jo. Scott is our third son. He married Lacee and they have two sons, Daxton and Easton. Kim is our only daughter and she married Spencer and they have one son, Clay. Brett is our baby and he is serving in the California LA Spanish Speaking Mission.
