Every year for the past 10 years Nick and the boys have hiked into the Uintas for a few days of fishing. This was the first year for the next generation to go with them. Logan and Emmie were so excited to be old enough to go. They had a great time. They hiked into Granddaddy Lake which isn't very far--about 3-4 miles, but for their first trip it probably was good. Here are some pictures:

Logan is like his dad use to be...always moving, always exploring.

Logan ate his fish for dinner.

Emmie was a little fisherwoman!!

Is that a tree growing in a rock?

Hey, where's all that good fish?

Logan and Emmie taking a rest on the way up the trail. Notice Emmie's little kitty tied to her camel back. I gave that to her when she was about 6 months old. That just kills me!!! They didn't carry any of their equipment, their dad's had too :) When Nick got home just a couple of hours ago, I was wondering what it was like in each of their tents. (They had three tents). I was wondering what Brion and Logan's conversation might have been, or Jarom and Emmie's conversation right before they fell asleep. From his tent, Nick said he heard Jarom singing Emmie to sleep. That just touches my heart. They are all looking forward to next year!
