Last weekend J&A went out of town and I was delighted to watch their girls. What a fun time we had! I brought them to our home on Friday evening for two more nights at our house. Saturday we cleaned. Here is Kate and Allie with Windex and paper towels standing in our kitchen sink cleaning my window. When they were done, you finally could see out of it :).
Anyway, the neatest part was bedtime (after our movie and treats). I got the girls tucked in and of course they wanted me to tell them a couple of stories. I usually tell stories of my childhood, but I thought maybe I would try something a little different. I started out by telling them this was a true story, and I told them about Joseph Smith from the time he was little and had his leg operated on through the first vision. These girls know this story very well. When I got to the part where J.S. saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and what they told him, little Allie (5 yr old) asked a couple of questions and here they are:
Allie: Grammy do you believe thats true?
Grammy: Yes! I know it's true!
Allie: How do you know it's true?
Grammy: Because the Holy Ghost told me so.
Allie: How does He do that?
Emmie: When you feel really good inside, kind of like a warm blanket, then what you are hearing or reading is true.
This was one of those moments, as a grandmother, I cherish so very much.

We are sooo glad she is here and healthy. On the way home from the hospital Easton said: "Grammy, will you help me sing I am a child of God to my baby?" Then he sang it all by himself on the way home. It was dead quiet in the car. Ahhh, the sweetness of family!
