CABINETS ARE IN!!!

Here is Nick pulling up the old linoleum. It was so glued down that I had to go a little ahead of him and heat it up with my trusty old blow dryer.

This is the cabinets where my double oven (left) and my microwave will be above the cooktop.

Here is the corner and the window view. The corner cabinet will have etched glass in it. I love the valance above the window. In the corner there will be an appliance garage but they can't put that in until the counter tops come in a week.

This is the china and the cabinet above the refrigerator. The china will have etched glass in it as well. We are putting lights inside the cabinet and we are going to switch out the wood shelves for glass so that it can shine all the way down.

NEW ARRIVAL

Clayton's first bath at home. Cleaning all the creases?

After his bath and ready for some ACTION (probably involves his diaper)

Another picture of the bath--I can't get the pictures quite in order, sorry.

After his bath and drying off. He never even cried--I never had a baby like that.

Here is my mom (grandma great) holding Clayton in the hospital. She can't see well, but that doesn't stop her from holding, hugging and kissing her great-grandbabies. We love her so.

Sorry but this next part was suppose to go at the first, but I can't figure out how to get it there. Someday maybe I will get this blog thing down better--

Let's take a little break from the kitchen remodel and view some REALLY cute pictures. Kim and Spencer had their little guy on March 9, 2008. When they called to let us know he was born, Nick and I sped off to Orem to meet the newest addition to our family. WOW, what a cutie!!! He has Kim's lips, has dark hair, dark eyebrows and long eyelashes. I spent 3 days with them when they brought him home. Actually, I should say, they allowed me to stay as they are such good parents they really didn't need any help. Spencer takes really good care of Kim. They mostly let me come because they knew it meant a lot to me. And it truly did. I got to bond with Clayton. Did I mention that he squeaks and snores? I KNOW WHERE THE SNORING COMES FROM and any Webb out there cannot deny it!! But the squeaking? I don't know, maybe Clayton is Grammy's little squeaker? Anyway, above are some wonderful pictures of him.

Continued kitchen remodel

Just for reference. Here is a picture of our house being built in 1938. No neighbors or church around it. Looks a lot different without trees, grass, sidewalks and such. Here are some more pictures of the remodeling that we are doing in the kitchen taken March 1, 2008:

Here is Brion and Scott with all the tools, ladders, nail guns (or is that pistols, I forget), everything that a man could want. I know that everyone is happy about this kitchen, especially me, but I must admit that Nick is really benefiting with all the tools that we have bought!!!

Dad and Brion are putting in the second piece of sheetrock.

Dad and Scott putting in the very first piece of sheetrock. Notice the neat sheetrock lift that we rented. It really makes a difference when you are sheetrocking a ceiling (I hear anyway).

This is a picture of two inmates from the state prison--Left inmate #57024 and right inmate #57023--of course it is only Scott and Brion, but they really look mean don't you think?
Well, until next time stay tuned for the exciting saga of the "KITCHEN REMODEL"
