Picture Tag

I was tagged by Kim. The rules are you have to take ten pictures of the following things. And you have to do it RIGHT AWAY. No straightening, cleaning or wiping your child's nose. No Cheating!

1. Kitchen sink--luckily I did the dishes earlier!!

2. Favorite room in your house. Mine is the kitchen since we just remodeled it. I spend most of my time here.
3. Take a self portrait right now. This is one picture I wish I had my thumb in it (right over my face, ha, ha)
4. Closet. I picked Kim's old closet because it is so special. When we remodeled her bedroom when she was about 6 years old, Nick was texturing it and wrote with his finger in the texture: "Kimmy's special place". So here are two pictures of her closet. I even took out a few of her formal gowns to show you.

5. Refrigerator. As Nick would say, "what's there to eat?
6. Favorite shoes. My flip-flops are so comfortable. I would wear them to church if they weren't so casual. I would wear them through the winter if my tootsies wouldn't get cold.
7. Dream vacation. Someday a cruise to Alaska. Maybe for our 35 wedding anniversary. Any donations?
8. What are your kids doing? (you are suppose to take a picture of them and post them here). I don't know what they are doing, but I am sure they need a knuckle sandwich anyway, ha, ha
9. Toilet. Luckily we had the lid down (thanks Nick) and there is toilet paper on the roll. Wow!
10. Laundry room. This I refuse to take a picture of this room as even the spiders don't like to go in there!!!

Emmie's Birthday

For the five older grandkids' birthdays this year we had individual time with them at a sleepover. It has been a challenge to fit them all in since all five are within four weeks of each other. Last week was Daxton's turn (we posted pictures of his birthday party in July) and this week was Emmie's turn. This is a picture of Papa and Emmie at Macaroni Grill (the birthday child gets to pick where they want to eat), where she had "THE best macaroni and cheese ever!" This little flower garden is dedicated to Nick's mom, Jo Webb (we call it the Jo Webb corner) because it has Zinnias and she loved Zinnias. Emmie helped water the flowers.
This is Emmie at the Living Planet in Sandy. We got to pet a live stingray, horseshoe crab and starfish. As you can see her shirt is all wet from petting the stingray. We saw all sorts of fish including sharks, octopui, seahorses and eels.
Papa couldn't come with us to the Living Planet so he is not in these pictures. We had a great time.

Nick's Siblings

Front row: Gene and Deanna, Kaye and Rex. Back row: Bruce and Dina, Pam, Linda and Duane, Miriam and Nick.

Last night we had all of Nick's siblings and their spouses (except Pam's husband Tracey who is in Wisconsin) out at our house for a get together. It has been over five years since we have all been together because Gene and Deanna just came home from Frankfurt Germany where they were Mission President for three years and they served for 2 years in Hamburg Germany before that. During that time Linda and Duane served in the Palmyra Temple as well as in the Aba Nigerian Temple. So we were really happy to see each other and renew our love for one another. I really feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful family. I am sure that their Mom and Dad are pleased with all of them.

Island Park Family Vacation 2008

We had our Nick and Miriam Annual Family Reunion up at Island Park, Idaho. We stayed in a log home just a short distance from Island Park Reservoir. Jarom brought up his boat and Scott brought up the Rhino and we had ourselves a ball. One day the boys went fishing and golfing in the morning and the girls went to a spa in Rexburg for some tender care. Adrien had a chocolate pedicure, Amie had a mother-to-be massage, Kim had a massage and Lacee and I had facials. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! After the treatment we had to hurry and buy a rootbeer float with some fries for our pregnant Amie (all you women know about those cravings). We went waterskiing, 4-wheeling, and even caught a couple of plays at the Playmill in West Yellowstone which was fun. We did go into Yellowstone and that was fun. The only casualties were two big goose-eggs and a scraped nose on Easton, bless his little heart. The only thing that would have made this vacation better is if Spencer could have come. He had to work. We missed Brett, but we would rather have him in the mission field right now. Here are some pictures:

Logan was always so cute with Clay. He would rock him to sleep.
Here are the kids at Old Faithful, Dax, Logan behind Emmie and Allie
Here is the family. Front row: Allie, Kate, Easton, Dax, Emmie, Logan and Landon. Back row: Jarom, Adrien, Lacee, Scott, Me, Kim, Clay, Nick and Amie. Brion was taking the picture.
We had lunch in Idaho Falls going up. The Idaho Falls temple was right across the river. Kate and Easton enjoying their lunch.

We put on a movie for the kids while we fixed dinner. Landon, Allie,Dax, Emmie and Logan.

Little Clay was a trooper. He was happy the whole time. He slept in the car, in the stroller, smiled at everyone and just loved being whever he was.
Amie, Adrien, Me, Kim and Lacee after our treatment at the spa. It is a little blurry, but don't we look refreshed?
Here the adults are playing NERTS. It is a fast paced game that they all loved to play. We took tons more pictures and hopefully the girls will put some of theirs on their blogs. We had a great time together and can't wait for our next adventure together!!!
