Blessed Day

So, here it is three o'clock in the morning and I am awake. Yesterday, June 7th, was Brett and Amanda's wedding. It was one of the most wonderful days for Nick and I. While sitting in the sealing room, I looked around and there sat all of our children. My heart was overflowing with gratitude! All of us in the temple together. I felt like the Lord was just pouring out His blessings to Nick and I at that moment. Did the two of us, 35 years ago this month, understand what the future could hold? We didn't know life could be so sweet!

President Blackburn, Brett's mission president, sealed them. He said some absolutely wonderful things to them. We are so appreciative to him and Sister Blackburn for being there. They mean so much to Brett.

After the temple we celebrated with a wonderful luncheon at Thanksgiving Point in the Garden Room. They made it so special for the couple. Amanda had a "fairy godmother" that was there to assist her and any of the wedding party with anything needed. They had set up a little room just for the bride and groom with pastries, juice and a tile that had "Webb Family Established June 7, 2011." We had a captain of the food who came out every so often to see if we needed anything. I tell you, they made it so nice, we didn't have to worry about a thing, which made the day less stressful.

All of our grandchildren were there, the girls all in the same dresses, and the boys all in green ties. It gave Nick and I so much joy to watch them interact with Brett and Amanda, as well as to each other.

The gardens were beautiful, the sun was shining and we rented a golf cart to drive around the gardens for pictures. Our grand-niece was our photographer. This was her first wedding photo shoot. She was very patient and so kind. She must have taken hundreds of pictures. She is graduating in photography next year and we are thankful she agreed to take them.

Yesterday was one of those days that will forever be in my heart. I am thankful for a kind and loving Heavenly Father that blessed us with such a perfect day!
