Climb Every Mountain

Since Brett came home from his mission he has been excited to climb Timp and Deseret Peak. Every year Nick and the boys go up the Unitas or climb Timp, sometimes both. Deseret Peak is the highest peak in Tooele County and is quite a hike. Here are some pictures: This is Brett climbing Timp. Pretty wild flowers. It was so crowded the day they went up there was a back-up on the trial.Earlier in the season the wildflowers are really bright. This is my #1 guy :)

Every year they see wild life. Moose, pikas and mountain goats. This mother goat and her kid were only a few feet away from them.
Instead of going down the way they came up, Nick and Brett decided to go down the Aspen Grove side. Never, never, never again will they do that. It takes just a long and is twice as steep. It was really hard on Nick's knees. But on the way down there was a lot of water falls that were really pretty. It was really dry on the way up.

We have a theme song in our family, really we do, I sing it often this time of year it goes like this: (To be song to the tune of Climb Every Mountain)
Climb Every Mountain
Fish every stream.
Golf at every golf course
'Till you reach your dream.
-----
I dream of the hunt,
Of the deer and the duck.
When I'm out in the woods,
I pray for good luuuuuccccckk.
-----
Climb every mountain
Fish every stream.
Golf at every golf course,
'Till you reach your drrrreeeeaaaamm.
